Welcome desk · Your question list
A question list for women's hormone and peptide care.
For help understanding and finding care, use this guide; it is not a hormone practice or any other care business, and takes no bookings.
If you want help with a hormone problem, ask what treatment is being offered and what it is meant to change. If someone offers a peptide, ask for the medicine’s name too.
Leave a little room.An answer can lead to another question. There is space for both.
What does “peptide” mean here?
A peptide links together small building blocks of protein.
Semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy) is a peptide medicine that copies the action of a gut hormone involved in appetite and blood sugar.
Source note on the word peptide
The product label describes what semaglutide does. It does not speak for every peptide.

FDA is short for the US Food and Drug Administration.
The word “peptide” did not settle approval on September 26, 2026: offers included approved drugs, pharmacy-made preparations and drugs without approval.
With compounding, a pharmacist or doctor makes a preparation for a particular need rather than handing over a finished factory product.
FDA approval did not cover these pharmacy-made medicines as of September 26, 2026.
The rules recorded on September 26, 2026 allowed compounding in some cases. Lack of FDA approval alone does not settle whether a preparation is lawful.
That is a dated account of the rules. Ask the prescriber which rule applies to the medicine offered now.
Check the difference in product status
The FDA explains both the role of compounding and the limits of its review.
FDA explanation of compoundingHave the medicine’s name written down, and ask whether it comes as pills, shots or another kind. “Peptide care” leaves those questions unanswered.
What do I want the visit to answer?
A question in your own words is enough.
Nothing in these boxes is sent anywhere. Copy the notes you want to keep before opening another sheet.
What can I compare after a visit?
Write down the explanation before deciding what you think of it. Leave an unanswered question blank rather than guessing.
Ready to ask about the care itself?
